• What do I need to rent a car?

To qualify you have to be 21 years or older, have a current valid driver’s license with no restrictions, full coverage car insurance that is transferable to rentals, and a major credit or debit card.

We do not accept prepaid cards. Driver’s license, insurance and card all need to be in the same name, any additional drivers are required to come in with their driver’s license and full coverage car insurance as well.

• Will my existing insurance cover me when I am driving a rental?

We do not accept certain insurance companies so just call hatch Toyota to verify we accept your insurance.

 

• Do I have to be a certain age to rent a car?

You must be at least 21 to rent a vehicle.

 

• Can I smoke in my rental car?

      No smoking or pets. We charge a $500 cleaning fee.

 

• Can I return my rental car really dirty?

      Our deposit is $500 for new rental customers and $250 for returning customers all deposits are charged          on pick up of the vehicle.

      If the rental is returned excessively dirty we will charge the deposit to get it properly cleaned.

      Must return on a full tank of gas.

 

• When can I return my vehicle?

     Rental Vehicles are due back at the time you picked up the vehicle, we charge in 24 hour increments so if         the vehicle is picked up at 12:00pm it will be due back at 12:00pm on the return day, there is a 2 hour                 leeway before we charge an additional day, we do not do returns on Sundays because we are closed but         we are able to return on Monday before 9am to avoid an additional day charge.

Monday through Friday: 8:00am to 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday: CLOSED

 

• Do you have child safety seats available in your rental cars?

At this time we do not provide child safety seats.

• If I like my rental car, can I purchase it?

You cannot purchase the rental car that is in the current rental fleet but we do have rental cars on our used car lot that are available for purchase.

 

• Are Toyota Rent A Car rates competitive with other rental agencies?

Yes, we are committed to satisfying current and prospective Toyota owners. We are able to provide very competitive rates since the vehicle and the facility are part of our dealership. Please contact us for rates.

 

• Can I rent at one location and return it to another location?

We do not do one way rentals, all rental cars are to be returned to Hatch Toyota.

 

• Can I rent any Toyota vehicle?

We have a wide variety of the latest models available for rent. Please contact us for available models.

 

• Can I take the vehicle I rented into Mexico or Canada?

Rental cars are not to be driven out of the US, rental cars are not to be taken to Mexico, Canada, or Alaska, but you are able to drive to different states.
